COX’S BAZAR: Five suspected Rohingya robbers were detained with sharp weapons in Ukhia Rohingya camp of Cox’s Bazar on early Tuesday (March 20).

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) detained them from Madhurchhara camp of Kutupalang with two several sharp weapons and four cell phones. 

The detainees are identified as Karim, 46, Amin, 26, Shaker, 20, Rashid, 21 and Nur Islam, 26. All of them are hailing from different blocks of Madhurchhara camp. 

RAB-7 senior assistant director (media) senior ASP Mimtanur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday noon.

The detainees were handed over to Ukhia police station after case filing, Mimtanur added.
