Bangladeshi shot dead in S Africa Abu Sufian Swapan

NOAKHALI: A Bangladeshi citizen was shot to death by unknown miscreants in Johannesburg of South Africa on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Abu Sufian Swapan, son of Abdul Quddus of Companyganj upazila of Noakhali district.

Swapan had been living in Johannnesburg for last three years.

Amin Ullah, a friend of Swapan, confirmed his family about his death from Johannesburg on Sunday night.

According to family members, miscreants fired five rounds of bullets at Swapan when he was in a car in front of his house, leaving him critically injured. Later locals rescued Swapan to a nearest hospital where duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.
