Seventeen bodies out of 26 Bangladeshis, who died in US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crash in Kathmandu of Nepal, have been identified on Saturday (March 17).
Bangladesh embassy in Nepal disclosed the matter to media after the evening.
Besides, bodies of ten Nepalese and a Chinese were also identified, head of the Bangladesh forensic team in Nepal Dr Shohel Mahmud said at a press briefing earlier.
He also said the bodies were identified through their fingerprint identification.
The process for identifying the rest of bodies is underway, Shohel added.
At least 49 people were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal Monday afternoon.
Twenty-six Bangladeshis, 22 Nepal nationals, and one Chinese citizen were killed in the deadly crash.
