DHAKA: The construction contractor who was shot dead by unknown assailants in the capital’s Mohakhali Saturday night (February 24) was an accused in case filed over a murder in Khilkhet in 2007.

Hailed from Ghoshairhat upazila of Shariatpur, Nasir live in Dakhshinkhan area of Dhaka. He was a contractor for building tiling works.

The deceased’s younger brother Al Imran told Banglanews that Nasir had so far no enmity with anyone.  

He was an accused in a case filed over killing one BM Khaleque in Khilkhet in 2007 and that might have led the murder, added Imran.

Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC, Investigation) Md Borhan Uddin told Banglanews that they are investigating the incident.

However, police recovered the body of Nasir from in front of the Boro Masjid in Mohakhali Dakshin Para area Sunday morning (February 25).
