MYMENSINGH: A policeman was found hanged at his residence near the Tinkona pond area in Mymensingh town Saturday night (February 24).

The deceased was identified as Nur Alam, 37, a constable.

Police recovered the body at around 8:00pm, Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmudul Islam told Banglanews.  

“The hanging body of Nur Alam was recovered from his rented home in Tikona pond area of the town”, he said. 

Investigation is underway to reveal whether it was a murder or suicide, added the OC.
