MYMENSINGH: Four people were killed and at least nineteen others injured as a bus fell into a roadside ditch after losing control on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj Highway in Iswarganj upazila.

One of the deceased was identified as Ratan Mia, 35.  

Police said that the Bhairab-bound bus lost control while intending to save a bicyclist on the highway at Char Hossainpur area, at around 11:00am Friday (February 23).

The bus fell into a ditch, leaving a female passenger dead on the spot and at least twenty-two others injured. Of the injured, two men and a woman died after being taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospial (MMCH).    

Iswarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Badrul Alam Khan told Banglanews that three of the deceased couldn’t be identified immediately. The injured were undergoing treatment at MMCH.
