DHAKA: The government has promoted 391 officials of Public Administration to deputy secretaries.

The public administration ministry issued a notice in this regard on Tuesday (February 20). 

As per the notice, the officials were promoted to On special Duty (OSD) officers. 

Later, these officers will be posted in separate orders.

Public administration officials receive such a big promotion in the sixth round of this current government's tenure.

Ministry of Public Administration sources said, there are about 850 permanent posts of Deputy Secretary. Now with this new promotion, the number of Deputy Secretary stands at 1,745.
