DHAKA: The central shaheed minar and its adjacent areas will be covered with a four-tier security layer marking Amor Ekushey, the international mother language day on February 21.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said that no vehicles will be allowed to enter the shaheed minar and its surrounding areas from 6:00pm February 20 to the midnight of February 21.

The DMP chief was talking to the reporters while inspecting the security management at the central shaheed minar at around 11:00am Monday (February 19).  

The law enforcers will put maximum security efforts marking the occasion, he added.
