JAMALPUR: Two youths were killed as the motorcycle the riding slid off the road and hit a roadside electric pole near Rashidpur bridge of Jamalpur sadar upazila on early Friday (February 16).

The deceased were identified as Rajan, 27, son of one Rehan Ali, hailed from Rekharipara village of Melandah upazila and Mukta, 26, son of one Afsaruddin of the same village. 

Relatives said the duo went to Jamalpur town to attend a concert on Thursday evening. The accident happened when they were returning home around 1:00am Friday leaving both of them dead on spot. Locals discovered the bodies in the morning. Later police recovered the bodies and sent them to Jamalpur general hospital morgue for autopsy.
