DHAKA: Two assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) of Ashulia Police Station in Dhaka district have been withdrawn over the charge of bribe.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ashulia Police Station Abdul Awal confirmed the matter to the Banglanews on Tuesday (January 23).

The accused ASIs are Nantu Krisna Majumder and Rawshan Ali. They have been closed to the police line.

It was alleged that the two cops on Monday (January 22) detained a man named Mahbub, from Baroipara area at Ashulia and claimed bribe from him.

Police, however, arrested a police source named Rasel, in this connection.
