MANIKGANJ: The ferry service on the Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River has resumed after about seven hours of disruption.

The ferry service was suspended at about 2:00 am on Monday (January 12) due to the dense fog. The service resumed after 9:00 am as the fog disappeared.

Assistant director general of the Paturia Ferry Ghat Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.

Meanwhile, ferry service on the Kathalbari-Shimulia route in Madaripur also resumed in the morning.

The service on the route came to halt from about 2:00 am to avoid any untoward incident.
