NARAYANGANJ: A young man was beaten to death ‘suspecting him’ to be a thief at Fatulla area in Narayanganj on Sunday (January 21).

The family members of the victim, however, denied the matter of suspicion, alleging that he was killed over previous enmity.

The deceased was identified as Rasel, 34, son of Ali Box of Syed Sarder Bari area of Narayanganj sadar upazila. He used to live in a rented house at Bholail Geddar Bazar area. Rasel was a trader of the kitchen market.

He was beaten to death at Bholail Morakhal area in the early morning.

Victim’s elder brother Golam Hossain told Banglanews that Rasel was beaten to death by Imran, Tanveer and some others over previous enmity.
