BRAHMANBARIA: Two robbers were killed in a gunfight with police at Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on Saturday night (January 20).

The deceased were identified as Bashar, 33, son of Akther Hossain, hails from Shajon village under Lakhai upazila of Habiganj, Enta, 32, son of Abdul Awaal of Sutiara village under Brahmanbaria sadar upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sarail Police Station Mofizul Islam told Banglanews that 5 police members were also wounded including Assistant Superintend of Police (ASP) Moniruzzaman Fakir.

Police also recovered arms from the spot.
