DHAKA: The customs intelligence officials detained two Malaysia-bound passengers with foreign currencies worth about Tk 28 lakhs early Friday (January 19) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. 

The detainees are Ariful Islam Badiuzzaman and Shamim Dhali.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Director General Dr Moinul Khan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Malaysian Ringgit and Saudi Riyals were recovered from the duo during a search, he added.
