PM urges not to support BNP

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has questioned the BNP’s role in the politics, as the party made war criminals minister and their sons MP.

The PM was speaking at a discussion at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the city on Sunday (December 17). The function was arranged on the occasion of the Victory Day.

Sheikh Hasina said, “Those who made war criminals ministers, and their sons members of their own party and MP, how could some people support this party, and become loyal to them?” That’s my question?

She urged the people not to support the BNP.

About the next parliamentary elections, she said, “BNP burnt people. How could they face people, ask for vote? Who would vote for BNP? No one else!  They won’t even come to power. Folks won’t allow them to come.”

Regarding the Liberation War, the PM said, “The sincerity, of those who create and make sacrifice while others who appear all of a sudden out of no where, is not the same. Such people only destroy.”

Senior leaders of the Awami League were also present at the function.
