Fog disrupts flight operations at Shahjalal airport

DHAKA: Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport were halted amid low visibility due to dense fog early Sunday (December 17).  

No aircraft could land or depart from here since 7:00am.  

Two aircrafts scheduled to land at 7:50am and 8:20am were reported to move the direction to Kolkata and Chittagong respectively.

Civil Aviation Duty Officer Md Farid Uddin told Banglanews that the flight operations will be resumed once the fog disappears.

However, flight operations at the same airport were earlier suspended on November 29, due to thick fog.

For Dhaka, Met office forecasted maximum temperature at 24.9 degrees and minimum at 13.9 degrees, for Sunday.
