4 killed as car falls into ditch in Sunamganj

SUNAMGANJ: Four people were killed as a private car plunged into a roadside ditch on Chhatak-Gobindaganj road at Tajpur in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj on Friday afternoon (Dec 15).

The deceased were identified as Tofail Ahmed, son of one Giasuddin of Mahtabpur village in Bshwanath upazila of Sylhet, Razu Ahmed, 35, son of one Sohrab Ali of Sheikhpara village under Jalalabad police station of Sylhet, Tayef, 27, son of one Fazlul Huq from the same village and Shahjahan, 30, hailed from Goalabazar area of Osmaninagar upazila.

Chhatak police station officer-in-charge (OC) Atikur Rahman told Banglanews that the deceased were returning to Sylhet’s Tuker Bazar after attending a program. On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue.
