COMILLA: Two motorcycle riders were killed and another rider injured when a passenger bus hit the motorcycle on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Chiora in Chauddagram upazila of the district on Friday (Dec 15).

The deceased were identified as Azizul Huq, 25, hailed from Sirajganj district and Shahjahan Mia, 30, hailed from Dhaka. 

Identity of the injured person could not be known yet; however, he was admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital (CMCH) in a critical condition. 

Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Chauddagram police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Foysal said the incident happened as a Greenline Paribahan bus rammed the motorcycle leaving its three riders injured. 

They were rushed to CMCH where on-duty physician declared two them dead on arrival. The injured is currently under treatment, OC added.
