PM back home from Paris

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on Thursday afternoon (Dec 14) from Paris concluding her three-day official visit to France to attend the ‘One Planet Summit’. 

An Emirates flight carrying the prime minister and her entourage members landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5:10 pm.

The premier made a three and a half hours stopover in the UAE city Dubai on her way back home.

Earlier, the prime minister left Paris‘s Charles De Gaulle International Airport for Dhaka at 9:35 pm local time on Wednesday (2:35 am BST Thursday). 

Bangladesh Ambassador to France Kazi Imtiaz Hossain saw the prime minister off at the airport. 

The Bangladesh premier joined the "One Planet Summit" in Paris at the invitation of its co-organisers -- French President Emmanuel Macron, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim. 

The prime minister held a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at Elysee Palace on Tuesday morning. 

On Wednesday, Sheikh Hasina also joined a meeting with top French business leaders at the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand where she urged them to invest in Bangladesh.
