DHAKA: The newly-built Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park, which was named after incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has finally begun its journey in Jessore.

The PM inaugurated the Park through a video conference from Ganabhaban, the official residence of Prime Minister, in Dhaka on Sunday (December 10).

During the program via multimedia projector at Park Auditorium, people of various classes and occupations of Jessore were connected with Sheikh Hasina in the video conference.

Sheikh Hasina in her speech said that the technology park will be built in every district. Her government has the plan, she said.

The technology park was built with international standards. Modern facilities were included in it. These include a 15-storied multi-tenant building which is built in earthquake resistant composite structure (steel and concrete), and a 12-storied dormitory with 5-star standard accommodation.
 
Besides, there is a parking arrangement in the underground with Convention Center

Each floor of 15-storied building has 14, 000 square feet space. The entire 11th floor has been allocated for a gymnasium, especially for foreign entrepreneurs.

Both buildings have 33 KVA electric substations, two thousand kilowatt-capacity generators and fiber optic internet connectivity for uninterrupted power supply. Disaster Recovery Data Center has been set up to back up the National Data Center.

This park will facilitate operations of software development, freelancing/outsourcing, call center, research and development, and so forth.  

The young entrepreneurs of 10 districts under Khulna division, as well foreign entrepreneurs of the IT sector, have the opportunity to invest. Initially, 12 thousand people of this region will get employment in this park.

Space has been allocated for around 40 local and foreign companies. Some of them even have started work. Other 15 have already been finalized to allocate space for them.
