DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina opened a 100 percent electrification in 10 upazilas apart from four power plants, including two solar plants, through videoconference from Ganabhaban Sunday (December 10).

Electricity will be supplied in each single houses of the country, said the premier while addressing the program.

Ten upazilas-- Faridpur sadar, Rajoir, Naogaon sadar, Kamarkhand, Akhaura, Brahmanbaria sadar, Shalikha, Meherpur sadar, Madon and Belabo-- have been brought under the 100 percent electricity coverage.

The power plants are: Shikalbaha 225 MW plant, Chapainawabganj 100-MW plant, Salla 400-kilowatt solar plant and Sharishabari 3-MW solar plant.

However, now the national grid will take on solar-installation based power too.
