DHAKA: Police in separate incidents recovered two bodies, including a child, in city’s Mohammadpur and Shah Ali areas. 

The deceased were identified as Maryam, a 4-year-old kid from Shah Ali police station, and Mehdi Hasan, 25, from Sath Masjid area under Mohammadpur Police Station.

The two bodies were recovered and sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital (SSMCH) for post-mortem examination on Wednesday night (December 6).

Shah Ali police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Abu Bakar Siddique told Banglanews that Maryam was wounded by a road accident then died at SSMCH) while undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, Mohammadpur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Zahirul Islam told Banglanews that Mehdi was found hanging.

Police are investigating his death, the SI added.
