DHAKA: The price of electricity has been increased by 0.35Tk at the retailer level, in a latest decision taken by the government Thursday (November 23).
The new hike will come into effect in December.
The price, however, will remain unchanged for the wholesalers, said a press release issued by Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
Earlier, the price for electricity was raised 2.93 percent on average, on September 1.
A user of maximum 75 units had to expense more Tk20 whereas a user of over 600 units had to count more Tk30 per month, in that occasion of revising price.
