RAJSHAHI: A couple was killed and their minor kid injured as a bus fell into a road-side ditch crushing a motorcycle next to it on which the couple was traveling in Baya para area of Rajshahi on Friday (Nov 17).

Confirming the matter, Shah Makhdum police station officer-in-charge (OC) Zillur Rahman said the accident happened around 2:45pm. Locals are trying to rescue the bas passengers.

Baya para college teacher Abdul Hannan said the Naogaon-bound bus plunged into a ditch after its driver lost control over steering. On the other hand, the couple was traveling by a motorbike and got crushed by the bus while it went off road.

Couple’s bodies were recovered. Police and Fire Service are at the scene to rescue the rest of the passengers, he added.
