KISHOREGANJ: A district court has sentenced life term imprisonment to two people for killing a woman and her son in Kishoreganj.

Judge Abu Taher of Kishoreganj Additional District and Sessions Judge’s court passed the order on Thursday (Nov 16).

The convicts are Nazrul Islam, son of one Zahed Ali of Sahapara in Belabo upazila of Narshingdi and Jwele Bhuyian, son of one Momruz Bhuyian. Jewel is currently at large. 

According to case statement, the convicts were locked in a long dispute with Dipali Begum Dipa, hailed from Betagia village in Shibpur upazila of Narshingdi, over a loan payment. As Dipa pressed them for refund, the convicts summoned them to Faridpur shrine in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj and killed them near a river bank.
