BAGERHAT: Two robbers were killed in a gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Sharankhola range of Sundarbans early Wednesday (November 15).

The shootout continued for almost 2.5 hours, near the Katlar Khal canal of Boleshwar River.

Besides, huge arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot, said RAB-8 Wing Commander Rajib and Deputy Commander Major Sohel Rana.

However, the deceased were identified as Yusuf Fakir, second-in-command of a robber gang named ‘Abbas Bahini’ and Ruhul Amin, a member of the gang.
