DINAJPUR: Two motorcyclists were killed as an overspeed truck crashed them in Kaharole upazila of Dinajpur Monday night (November 13).

The deceased were identified as Chandan Roy, 20, son of Gopal Chandra Roy, and Nasim Ali, 22, son of Mahmud Ali, both from Nayabazar area of Dinajpur sadar.

One Gourango Chandra Roy, 30, from the same area, was severely injured in the accident.

He was admitted to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College. 

Doshamail Highway Police Outpost Inspector Abdul Malek told Banglanews that a truck crashed the trio while they were returning home on a motorcycle, from Birganj area.

Chandan and Nasim died on the spot.

However, the truck managed to flee away from the scene immediately, added the Inspector.
