BHOLA: Bapex started lifting gas from Shahbazpur East Gas Field in Borhanuddin upazila of Bhola Wednesday (November 1), on trial basis.

About 21 million cubic feet gas is being extracted from the field Wednesday, said Bapex official also Gas field in-charge M Hasanuzzman. 

With the beginning of extraction at around 8:00 in the morning, gas storage in the filed is confirmed.  

“The gas was located 3,490 feet under the ground. 40-41 million cubic feet gas will be lifted daily from now on”, he said. 

However, 700 billion cubic feet gas was discovered at Shahbazpur East Gas Field recently.
