NETROKONA: Emon, 22, the accused in a case filed over stabbing a college girl in Kendua upazila of Netrokona, was taken in a 3-day remand.

Kendua Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sanjay Sarker told Banglanews that Judge Md Alamgir Hossain of Netrokona Senior Judicial Magistrate granted the remand for interrogating Emon Thursday (October 19). 

The accused was appeared before the court.

Earlier, Emon stabbed one Jannatul mercilessly in Purbo Shantinagar area of Kendua, following a dispute over love affair, on Tuesday noon (October 17).

Jannatul, daughter of Abdul Latif in Pathairkandi village under Itna upazila in Kishoreganj, and a 2nd year HSC student at Parvin Siraj Mohila College in Kendua has been undergoing treatment in Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).  

Later, Jannatul’s father filed a case accusing Emon under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
