BOGRA: A man and his wife were stabbed to death by an unknown assailant over land related dispute at Albazar village in Gabtali upazila of Bogra on Thursday evening (Oct 19).

The deceased were identified as Zillur Rahman, 45 and his wife Bulbuli Begum, 35, hailed from Albazar village of Naruamala union of the upazila.

Gabtali model police station officer-in-charge (OC) Khairul Bashar told Banglanews that Bulbuli Begum was locked in a long standing dispute with her cousin brother over land related dispute. 

On Thursday, they had a heated conversation on the matter and at one point the cousin stabbed her husband at first. While came to help her husband, she was also stabbed by her cousin. The identity of the cousin is yet to be ascertained.

Both of them died on way to hospital. However, no one has been detained in this connection yet, the OC added.
