12 jailed for fraudulence in DU admission test

DHAKA UNIVERSITY: A mobile court has sentenced 15-day imprisonment to 12 admission aspirants who were caught for fraudulence during the ‘Ka’ unit admission test of Dhaka University.

Executive magistrate Touhid-e-Elahi passed the order on Friday noon (Oct 13).
Earlier in the morning, 12 aspirants were detained from exam halls for allegedly committing digital forgery.

The detainees are Al Imran, Nure Alam Arif, Shah Paran, Abul Basar, Nahid Hasan Kawsar, Tanvir Hossain, SM Zakir Hossain, Raqibul Islam, Khandakar Mirazul Islam, Abu Hanif Noman, Pratichi Sattar and Arifa Billah Tamanna. 

Several digital instruments used for forgery and mobile phones were also seized from their possession, said Du proctor MA Azad.
