MANIKGANJ: A Sub-Inspector of Police was killed in a road crash as an unidentified vehicle rammed his motorbike in Pathuria area of Ghior Upazila of Manikganj district on Monday afternoon (Sep 11).

The deceased, identified as Abul Bashar, 32, son of one Awlad Hawladar of Baghutia area in Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj, was a sub-inspector of Tangail’s Kalihati police station. 

Barangail highway police outpost in-charge Yamin-ud-Daula told Banglanews that the accident happened around 3:00pm on Dhaka-Aricha highway as SI Abul was traveling by motorcycle to Manikganj town from this rented house in Tepra area of Shibalay upazila. He died on the spot.
