SHARIATPUR: Three fake police were held at Zajira upazila in Shariatpur early hours of Saturday (August 19).

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Shariatpur Saifullah Al Mamun said this at a press conference at his office in the district town in the afternoon on Saturday (August 19).

The detainees are Shabuj Sarder, 27, son of Malek Sarder of Dubisaibar village under Zajira upazila, Hannan Khah, 26, son of Rakmat Khah of Madbarkandi village of the upazila, and Mujibur Mridha, 35, son Latif Mridha of Batkajol village under Baufal upazila of Patuakhali.

The SP said on information they conducted a raid at the residence of Firoz Bishwas of Ramkrishnapur village of the upazila at about 2:00 am and caught them red handed.

Police also seized fake uniform of police and five mobile phones from their possessions.
