‘Agreement to be signed with Saudi Airlines to resolve crisis’

DHAKA: Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Religious Affairs Bazlul Haq Harun, MP, has said that they will place an offer to Saudi Airlines in resolving crisis to carry the Hajj pilgrims.  

He said this while talking to journalists at the Ashkona Hajj Camp in the city on Saturday noon (August 19).

Bazlul Haq Harun said that the flights are scheduled to carry the Hajj pilgrims till August 26. “But we have filed an application to the Saudi Embassy to carry the Hajj pilgrims till August 28. We hope that they will accept the plea,” he said.

He further said that they will sign agreement with the Saudi Airlines to carry the rest Hajj pilgrims.

According to the Hajj office, a total of 1, 27,198 pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj from Bangladesh this year under the government and private management.

The Biman Bangladesh and Saudi Arabian Airlines have been carrying the pilgrims.
