KISHOREGANJ: A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man in a case filed over alleged rape of a three-year-old girl in Mithamain upazila of Kishoreganj.

The man, identified as Tutul, 25, son of one Mohammad Taj Mia from Dhaki village of the upazila, was arrested by RAB-14 members from Khaliajuri upazila of Mymensingh on Friday morning.

Hasan Mustafa Swapan, company commander of CPC-2 Kishoreganj camp of RAB-14, told Banglanews that Tutul allegedly raped the child on a boat by alluring to play with her on Aug 10. Locals rescued the girl in a critical condition to Kishoreganj General Hospital. 
  
Tutul remained absconding since the victim’s father lodged a case with Mithamain Police Station under Women & Children Repression Prevention Act last Friday, he said.
