DHAKA: Law minister Anisul Huq said that a commission will be constituted soon to identify the conspirators behind the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Aug 15 in 1975. 

The minister reiterated the matter in a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of National Morning Day by Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs at Directorate of Registration office in city on Thursday noon (Aug 17).

Anisul said after the independence and the assassination of Bangabandhu, many people wanted to erase his name from history but none has ever succeeded. Bangabandhu’s name can not be erased and will remain with Bangladeshis forever. 

“A commission will be formed to identify the conspirators behind the assassination of Bangabandhu and to record the right context of our independence so that future generation can recognize the true history of the making of Bangladesh.”
