DHAKA: A housewife was electrocuted to death at Jurain in the capital city on Thursday (July 27).

The deceased was identified as Nupur, 35, wife Sentu Mia. Nupur along with her husband and children used to live at Pukairbazar area of Jurain.

Nupur’s relative Himel said that the incident took place in the afternoon when the victim was sweeping the water in her residence. The water entered their residence flowing rainfall.

The victim was taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after the incident. The on duty physicians of the DMCH declared her dead.
