DC conference ends: 349 proposals comes, 321 agenda discussed

DHAKA: The three-day annual conference of the deputy commissioners (DCs), the administrative heads of the districts of the country, ended on Tuesday (July 25).
 
Some 349 proposals have come up in the three-day conference. The conference discussed 321 agenda, said Cabinet Division.

The annual conference began on Tuesday (July 25). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the conference at Shapla Hall of her office.

The rest sessions of the conference were held at the conference room of the Cabinet Division at the Bangladesh Secretariat. The concluding session was held in the afternoon.

During the conference, the DCs raised various issues of their respective districts and placed recommendations.

The policymakers of the government gave directives to the DCs on different issues.

At total of 22 sessions were held in the conference. Ministers, advisers, state ministers, deputy ministers and secretaries attended the sessions.  

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam presided over the sessions. He briefed media after the concluding session.

The cabinet secretary said that the deputy commissioners met President Abdul Hamid during the conference on July 26 evening.
