GAIBANDHA: Police in a special drive in Gaibandha district detained 29 people accused in different cases.
 
Shahin Miah of District Police Control room told Banglanews that the drive was conducted in different areas of seven upazilas of the district from Wednesday night (July 26) to Thursday morning (July 27).

Of the 29 detainees, some were accused in cases of drug, gambling, oppression of women while some had arrest warrants.

However, the detainees will be sent to jail following necessary process in court, said the police.
