NAOGAON: A mother and her nine-month-old son were killed in a road crash as a truck hit a motorbike in Sathbaria area under Manda upazila of the district on Monday noon (July 24).

The deceased were identified as Wasima Rani, 24, wife of one Ramayan Chandra, hailing from Badalgachi upazila and their son Bijay Roy. 

Locals said Ramayan, along with his family, was traveling towards Manda upazila by a motorcycle. The accident happened as a truck hit them from opposite direction leaving the duo dead on spot.

Manda police station officer-in-charge Md. Anisuzzaman said, on information, police recovered the bodies.
