BANDARBAN: A woman was killed and four others went missing in a landslide at Bagan Para area of Bandarban-Ruma road Sunday (July 23).

Besides, nine people were injured in the fresh landslide at around 11:30am.

However, Search And Rescue (SAR) teams of army and firefighters have been conducting the search with due effort.

The deceased was identified as May Hla Marma, 19, while two of the missing were Sing Mo Ching, 19, and Munni Barua, 35, a family planning staff.

Deputy Commander Major Iftekhar of ECB-19 of Bangladesh Army’s Engineering Department told Banglanews that the victims are suspected to be buried in the landslide.

However, State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing visited the spot.
