Hajj pilgrims don’t have to pay extra fare: minister

DHAKA: Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman said that the Hajj pilgrims don’t have to pay the extra fare of Tk3 thousand this year.

Tk3,000, however, was earlier included in the Hajj package inadvertently by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, he said.

The Prime Minister has asked to shun the extra plane fare this time and therefore Hajj passengers don’t need to pay it, he added.

The minister was talking with the reporters at Ashkona Hajj Camp Friday (July 21).

Earlier, on July 6, an instruction came asking to include additional Tk3,000 in the Hajj package.

Later, the Banglanews published a report upon it.

The report indicated that why the Hajj passengers should count the extra money following the anomalies from Biman authority.
