GAZIPUR: A woman drowned in Shitalakshya River at Borma Singhhastri area of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur district.

Tongi fire service recovered the body from at around 9:30 am on Monday (July 17).

The deceased was identified as Selina Akter, 25, daughter of Gias Uddin of that area.  

Sreepur Fire Service Wire House Inspector Md. Jihad Mia said that a sand-laden trawler hit an engine-powered ferry boat at around 10:00 pm on Sunday (July 16).
