KURIGRAM: Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya Bir Bikram has said that the government’s sacred duty was to feed people alive.

“The country has no shortage of food;” he said this while speaking as the chief guest at the meeting of the district disaster management committee in the Kurigram district commissioner's conference room on Sunday evening (July 16).

The minister further said that, “The Prime Minister's directive is to build houses, give treatment, ensure education, and continue to provide people with food until the flood water subsides.”

“We will do everything that is necessary. Rest assured”, the minister added.
