Man killed in Dhaka road crash

DHAKA: A man was killed in a road crash as a passenger bus hit a rickshaw in Kazipara area of the city on Monday morning (July 10).

The deceased was identified as Abdus Salam, 50, hailed from Malia village of Sarankhola upazila in Bagerhat. 

He was a construction worker and has been living with his family in Haji Nasir Uddin Road of Dania in city’s Jatrabari area, said his son Rezaul Karim. 
 
A pedestrian Shah Riaz said that a bus of Grameen Paribahan hit the rickshaw in front of Kazipara Al-Helal Hospital at around 8:00 am leaving the rickshaw passenger critically injured. 

Locals rescued him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries later while undergoing treatment. 
 
Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Sub-Inspector (SI) Bachchu Mia of (DMCH) camp said that the body was kept in the hospital morgue.
