DHAKA: CNG filling stations will remain closed for 24 hours in Dhaka city due to maintenance work at Bibiyana gas field.

The stations were shut earlier on Tuesday midnight (June 27) as per the notice issued by Titas Gas authorities.

Commuters returning to Dhaka from different parts of the country after Eid vacation are in lurch as CNG driver auto-rickshaw plying in city halted.

Abul Kalam, a CNG driven auto-rickshaw driver, told Banglanews, “I have refilled gas earlier on Tuesday night before the stations were closed. But my three-wheeler will run out of gas by Wednesday noon.”

Some of the passengers also alleged that due to gas station closing, drivers are demanding extra fare.
