DHAKA: The fire that broke out at Nilkhet book market in Dhaka was brought under control by fire service after one hour of its inception.
Earlier, around 8:00pm Friday, the fire broke out at the book market. Nine fire Service units rushed to scene to douse the blaze.
Fire Service assistant director Masudur Rahman said nine units of fire service were able to douse the blaze after one hour.
However, cause behind the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
