LAWACHARA (MOULVIBAZAR): In an initiative to contribute for a greener environment, popular online news portal Banglanews planted some tress at Lawachara National Park in Moulvibazar Friday (May 26).

Banglanews Editor-in-Chief Alamgir Hossain planted the trees at Bagmara picnic spot of the park at around 10 am.

Moulvibazar district forestry officer (wild life) Mihir Kumar Doe was present there.

Different medicinal and fruit plants including Neem (Azadirachta indica), Banyan (Ficus benghalensis), Olive, Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Elephant Apple known as Chalta (Dillenia indica), Ata (Custard apple) and Amalaki or Aamla (Phyllanthus emblica) were planted.
