MAGURA: Police arrested a school teacher in Sreepur upazila of the district in a case filed over attempted rape a class-VII girl on Tuesday night (May 23).

The arrestee, Al Amin, 27, a part-time teacher at Radhanagar Secondary School, hailed from Dariapur village under the upazila.

Sreepur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Milon Hossain said that Al Amin tried to violate the girl while found her alone on Monday (May 22) evening.

Later, father of the girl filed a case in connection with the incident.

However, police arrested Al Amin at around 10 pm Tuesday, the OC added.
