JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Saudi Arabia for Dhaka.

The VIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines-- Flight BG 0036 (Rangaprovat)-- carrying the PM along with her entourage left the King Abdulaziz International Airport of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia at 7:15 pm in Bangladesh time (4:15 pm in Saudi time).

Governor of Jeddah Mishal Bin Mazid Bin Abdul Aziz and Bangladesh’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Golam Moshih saw off the PM in the airport.

Sheikh Hasina visited Saudi Arabia for a four-day tour to join the ‘Arab Islamic American Summit’ held in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. The summit was held on May 21.

The PM left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Saturday (May 20).

Alongside the summit, she visited Rozamobarak of Prophet Muhammad (SM) in Medina on Monday noon (May 22).

After visiting the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (SM), she went to Mecca to perform Umrah there.

She was invited to attend the summit by Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. US President Donald Trump and heads of state and governments of Muslim countries also joined the summit.

In her meeting with Donald Trump in the summit, Sheikh Hasina invited the US President to visit Bangladesh. Trump, however, has shown positive attitude in responding to Sheikh Hasina’s invitation.

The PM also held meetings with leaders of several countries on the sidelines of the summit.
